There was a time when socks came in a variety of dark, dull colours and when women hardly ever wore them. There’s no shortage of wacky socks on the market. From cartoon characters to catchphrases these socks are usually worn by people who like to be noticed. Socks like these are a good conversation starter and the wearer usually has a strong interest in the subject. These types of sock are often given as presents.
Many people still opt for plain conservative socks. They may show their personality in other ways, but they want their socks to be unremarkable. For many people, socks are useful but not a key part of their daily wear and so as long as they are comfortable and durable, the style or colour doesn’t matter.
