Black tights 'great with caged sandal high heels'
Published: 08th April 2010
A black pair of stocking or tights are a great way to make a pair of caged sandal high-heels work with an outfit on a night out, it has been claimed.
Responding to a question from a reader in the Washington Post, staff writer Holly Thomas offered some options to someone who was unsure of how to make them work with an outfit.
Ms Thomas recommended pairing the shoes with an above the knee dress and black tights.
However, she said that it was important to balance the outfit if tights are not worn, such as by throwing on a "snug blazer" on the top half of the body to add some balance.
Earlier this month, stylist for the Southern Courier Blog Donny Galella explained that stockings, fishnets and opaque tights will be all the rage during the autumn season.
He suggested that these styles of hosiery should be used to "spice up" an outfit and keep fashionistas on trend.
