Denim + tights = favourite for Londoners

Want to look chic this summer? Denim may not be the most perfect option, it has been said.
Laura Craik, the fashion editor for the London Evening Standard, explained that while it may only be April, a notoriously dodgy month for weather, people across London feel the need to don denim shorts as soon as possible, rearing their head on the bank holiday weekend in particular.
She continued: "Blessedly, they look fine with black tights until the weather heats up but let's not beat about the bush: they are probably not best attempted if you're at the age where Botox and filler have become a part of your monthly beauty routine."
Ms Craik added that the tights and shorts look can go particularly wonderfully with a pair of leather brogues, which she believes to be the "jazz shoes" of the modern era.
At the start of the month, black and white tights that used to belong to Queen Victoria were sold at auction for £690, showing that certain styles may never die.
