Jimmy Ford in shamrock socks shock
Published: 23rd April 2010
Britain's Got Talent star Jimmy Ford has revealed that he doesn't just dance - he's also a dab hand at darning his own clothes.
The 75-year-old Irishman, who is known for performing in a traditional leprechaun costume complete with a long green beard, went through to the second round of the ITV1 show last weekend.
However, what his ardent fans may not know is that the septuagenarian made the outfit himself - even staying up until the early hours to sew shamrocks onto his socks.
"I hope the camera showed my socks - I'm very proud of them," Mr Ford told the Sun.
He added: "For the next stage I will make sure my pot of gold is even more impressive. And I want some lovely ladies to dance with!"
The popular show relaunched for a new series on Saturday (April 10th), when viewers were also entertained by the quick feet of a dancing dog.
