Monster Raving Loony Party demands socks in packs of three
Published: 28th April 2010
The Monster Raving Loony Party has again announced that it is fielding several candidates in this year's general election, with Leader Howlin 'Laud' Hope campaigning in Witney this week.
Working in the constituency where rivals include David Cameron, the fun-loving head of the party spoke to the BBC News website about policies, with socks taking a major focus of his campaign.
That's because Laud Hope wants all socks to be sold in packs of three in order to avoid pain when losing one, putting to bed a major legwear bugbear.
Also, superheroes would be unable to use their powers for evil, while the English symbol of three lions would be changed to three badgers.
School dinners would also be regularly checked for radioactivity, the Loch Ness Monster would be listed as an endangered species, and dedicated pogo stick lanes would be provided on routes to centres of work.
Screaming Lord Sutch established the party back in 1963.
