Underwood works schoolgirl tights look

Carrie Underwood, the American Idol star who was recently married to ice hockey player Mike Fisher, turned on the schoolgirl style at a recent performance on the Today show in New York.
The singer wore black knee-high stockings with grey shorts, black blazer, white shirt and a black tie barely done up.
Her tights were rounded off with a pair of sparkly boots with enormous heels that did not seem to affect her balance.
Carrie Underwood shot to fame as the winner of the fourth series of American Idol, the US version of X-Factor.
Since then her meteoric rise has seen her win multiple Grammy Awards and be named Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the year three times.
In addition to her stylish sense of legwear, she is the first female singer to win back-to-back ACM Entertainer of the Year awards.
