£199 tights are 'staggering investment'

Women known for splashing the cash on ridiculous purchases may want to look to Austrian hosiery experts Wolford, which has recently released a new pair of black opaque tights.
Of course, you have to be pretty comfortable with an investment in statement legwear to get such a fancy pair of tights, because these cost £199, the Daily Mirror reported.
Fashion writer Dinah Turner took a pair out for a spin, with the tights being offered as an alternative to trousers - though they are not thick enough to need anything other than black underwear.
She said that by adopting this approach, many men were staring at her her behind, though others were much less predictable.
Ms Turner continued: "The women, however, were fascinated by the detailing on my calves - Rosemarie, a fashion student from London, even stopped to ask where my stylish legwear was from.
"They're staggeringly costly. But no doubt some fashion fans will be hoping to find them in their Christmas stockings."
Earlier this month, Frankie Sandford of girl group The Saturdays tried to make a major statement with some strange tights, wearing a printed pair which looked more like stockings, pairing them with leather hotpants in an impressive strut to get the paparazzi running after her.
