Gossip Girl 'overdoes the fishnets'

Leighton Meester, the star of Gossip Girl, has proved that she still has it when it comes to retaining a fashionable look through to the winter months, though she has stumbled at the final fence, according to a leading style magazine.
The 23-year-old actress, who is best known for her portrayal of Blair Waldorf in the highly-strung teenage drama, was spotted by Grazia wearing the best that her winter wardrobe had to offer her.
It said that while the overall look was a major success - wearing a long jacket with black gloves, a cream scarf and letting her hair down - something wasn't quite right in the legwear department.
Grazia asserted: "We're loving that bold blue coat with a structured waist and the matchy-matchy accessories are just adorable, although we feel those fishnet tights may be taking it a step too far."
Gossip Girl, which is currently being shown on ITV2 over here in the UK, is now in its third season.
