Tights 'separate you from the crowd'
Published: 01st December 2009
Women wanting to avoid the chance of "drowning in a sea of predictable dresses" should invest in some hosiery in the coming days and weeks, according to a leading newspaper north of the border.
The Scottish Daily Record explained that by adopting an "eye-popping print" or particularly bright colour can turn out to be a "fashion lifebuoy", whether it is a hot pink prom dress or something harnessing animal prints such as zebra.
It continued: "Flaunting a full-on shade or stand-out print requires serious attitude to pull it off with conviction. You can always tone down the show-off stakes with a black blazer and black tights."
Of course, women wanting that extra edge may consider looking into the perfect little black dress, allowing for a little more glamour without being too risky at the big event.
Earlier this month, Jessica De Vault of the Fayetteville Observer said that whether it is leggings, tights or stockings, any investment in legwear this season is a great one, so long as they aren't boring.
