Brosnan speaks of humiliation in bright blue tights
Pierce Brosnan - who is perhaps best known as the James Bond actor in GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies - has spoken of his latest jaw-dropping role as half-horse god Chiron the Centaur in the new action-adventure film Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

Dressed to impress, the star was not concerned about how he would look after special effects were added, but cursed the fact he had to wear bright blue tights to fulfil his role.

Brosnan explained that he was attracted to the part by director Chris Columbus and believed he would look particularly buff, turning from a paraplegic Professor Brunner into Chiron when the film enters the other world.

He explained: "So, of course I said 'yes' and then we came to the moment of glory and I've got good leather straps here and there and buckles and knives and a sword, but then I had to get into tights so they could put the horse's a**e on me."

Among the other actors in the film is Steve Coogan - who plays lord of the underworld Hades - and Rosario Dawson, who stars as Persephone.
