Jeggings 'add to skinny jean trend'
Published: 09th February 2010
People looking into the possibility of making themselves look slimmer and sexier in the coming months may want to look further afield than certain types of jeans, according to one expert.
The fashion division of the Canwest News Service said that for those who love sleek-looking skinny jeans but can't stand "leg-sucking compression" or the small openings at the ankles or rigid denim pinching into the skin, jeggings could be a "worthy alternative".
J Brand creative director Susie Crippen said: "The skinny silhouette is so prevalent in fashion right now. The big sweaters, high boots and skinny jeans are all a part of the silhouette of the season."
Dispensing advice on how to make the look work, she added that individuals ought to make sure a shirt comes down to the mid-thigh, though if they feel squat in this look, they should adopt heels or ankle boots.
While jeggings are popular, meggings - male leggings, no less - are a horrible thing, according to Jackie Kochell of the Indiana Daily Student, who said that leggings were bad enough as it was.
