Socks and high heels are 'great new trend'

Socks and high heels are 'great new trend'
Women wanting to accessorise their high heels with something altogether different have been offered a new guideline to follow if they really want to ramp up their look in the style stakes.

In a piece for the Omaha World-Herald, Josefina Loza explained that "heels + socks = hotness" and this mathematical formula has been followed by the likes of Anna Sui and Burberry at recent fashion shows.

Katherine Neary, an Omahan fashionista keen to share her love for hosiery, said: "Socks are a great accessory rather than a big necklace. It's so functional and you wear just about any outfit with them.
"It's the only way you can wear heels in the winter. You can't do anything too bulky because it won't fit your summer heel."

Ms Loza recommended that people go with long or short socks, nude or brightly coloured, so long as the patterns are "funky but mature".

Recently, Coupon Sherpa recommended in a piece for the News Tribune that people put tights or other hosiery in the freezer the night after purchase and that people can save them for a little longer as it increases legwear longevity.
