Women 'carrying spare underwear in their handbags'

With Valentine's Day just round the corner, it seems that many women in the UK are prepared should things get steamy during a date.
A new survey released by Sainsbury's shows that 43 per cent of ladies carry around a pair of sexy underwear in their bags just in case.
This could be because many women in the UK are wearing Bridget Jones-style sculpting underwear, particularly for special occasions.
Despite survey results showing that 40 per cent of men would not bat an eyelid if their partner was wearing shapewear, the prospect of revealing large knickers could prompt many to keep a secret smaller pair.
The study also showed that slimmer women were more likely to wear practical cotton pants, while more curvaceous ladies were opting for sultrier matching sets.
February 14th is a big day for underwear, with a third of the nation's women admitting that they will be investing new lingerie for the occasion.
