Hosiery should 'never be ignored in new look'

Hosiery should 'never be ignored in new look'
Bling jackets, slouchy skirts and a lot of metallic sheens will be blinding people on the streets of the Western world this autumn, according to a fashion writer.

And Nancy Wells of the New York Examiner emphasised that accessories should never, ever be ignored when it comes to decking the body out in this look for autumn, with tights and leggings in particular being handy additions.

She explained that many designers are adopting metallic-look hosiery as a "staple under virtually every outfit on the runway" and has a certain "futuristic" quality to it.

Of course, some things never change, with Ms Wells also emphasising the role of black tights in the next few months, particularly when they're paired with miniskirts.

Leggings should never be used as a substitute for trousers, however, with Chelsea Bauch of the Decider Chicago recently noticing how many "staunch advocates" of the trend are making it a strangely acceptable fashion.
