Marilyn Monroe's bra and stockings auctioned

An unnamed businessman from Hong Kong is now the owner of a prototype Wonderbra-esque brassiere and stockings belonging to the silver screen's golden girl, Marilyn Monroe.
Items belonging to the actress and singer went for $5,200 (£3,170) last weekend, with the strangely-designed bra giving the beauty a chest boost via a two-strap double-cup design created to do the hard work that a modern foray into plastic surgery would sort out now.
The bra and stockings were only expected to attract bids of around £2,000 before they were sold at the weekend at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Heathrow.
Earlier in the month, Marilyn Monroe's bathrobe fetched a whopping $120,000 (£73,278) in Las Vegas, while her necklace also went for $56,000 (£34,200).
