Men's sock saga rolls on

After Jeremy Paxman famously bemoaned the lack of room for manoeuvre, it seems that Marks and Spencer is facing another complaint about one of its products.
At the recent annual general meeting, chairman Sir Stuart Rose was taken to task about the longevity of the firm's men's socks.
One angry shareholder felt that the cottonsocks on offer from the firm were simply not up to scratch, claiming that they "fall to pieces when you look at them".
The board responded by claiming that as most of them wear the socks, it would not have escaped them "if the socks had fallen apart on sight".
Concerns over underwear are nothing new for the company - BBC presenter Jeremy Paxman wrote to the company to complain that their men's underpants wimply did not offer enough room.
