Sheer black tights 'will be autumn must have'
Published: 21st July 2010
As the likes of Kate Moss, who has always favoured bare legs, are turning to wearing something on their legs, sheer black tights and fishnet stockings will be everywhere by the autumn, it has been claimed.
Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Sarah Mower predicts that before the year is out we will be considering sheer black tights "in a new light".
She argues that while opaque tights will always stick around, she increasingly feels that sheers will be "achieving fashion-inevitability".
"Sheer tights and fishnets go with the new mid-calf skirt lengths," she explained.
"A denier below 25 is what seems avant-garde and edgy now."
The comments chime with those made in the Daily Record, which again cited Kate Moss's recent penchant for fishnet tights making the legwear the "hottest hosiery to be seen in".
