Thigh-high Argyle knit socks hit the catwalk

Miucca Prada, granddaughter of the fashion house's founder and head of the Miu Miu brand has thrown up a few surprises with her new collection, it has been reported.
The designer has come up with some knitted socks that reach to the thighs and come in a range of colours, the Independent reports.
"Anyone who normally buys theirs in packs of three needs to adjust their sock-buying habits," writes Susannah Frankel in the newspaper.
Apparently, the socks need to be folded over to the knee and worn with footwear as outrageous as possible.
It's not the first time that socks have stolen the show in the fashion world this year.
Fashion for Lunch reported last month that Oscar de la Renta added a touch of chic to all his outfits with a pair of sheer cotton pop socks and strappy sandals.
