A Korean sock dilemma

Part of living in Australia is wandering around in bare feet or flip-flops all summer long, according to one Aussie woman who moved to Korea.
Writing in the Korea Times, Mary-Jane Liddicoat has spoken of having to deal with bemused Koreans who are not used to seeing people without a pair of socks on.
Rather than the usual greeting, she often met with queries about why she was not wearing socks.
"Don't get me started on socks," she explained.
"I have lived in Korea for ten years and it never ceases to amaze me the regularity with which people greet me with 'You're not wearing socks!'"
Obviously as an Aussie she would never dream of wearing socks and sandals together - something Brits are all too guilty of doing, especially when on holiday abroad.
