Leggings trend 'refuses to go away'
Published: 23rd March 2009
Magazine editors are getting "giddy" over the coming fashions on the catwalks, according to a report from a major US newspaper.
The Los Angeles Times noted that many trends currently parading up and down the runways of style houses were becoming more edgy.
However, one can always count on leggings, it was said, with the newspaper labelling the legwear as the "trend that refuses to go away".
Commenting on the current state of affairs, it was said that "there were more measured takes on the tough chic look - black leather leggings worn with a long boyfriend blazer, the black leather bustier or bomber jacket".
The newspaper concluded: "I guess if nothing else, sex always sells."
Britney Spears' return to the limelight has been characterised by an agreeable fashion sense, it has been well-documented, with the singer stepping out in leggings this week while in Montreal.
