Dakota Fanning dons strange and shredded tights

Dakota Fanning, the child star who first made her name in I Am Sam in 2001, has showed her more rebellious nature as she turned 16 last week, wearing one of the most questionable ensembles seen on a celeb in recent weeks.
The War of the Worlds actress was seen walking down the street in Los Angeles in an outfit which aimed to attract the attention of anyone passing, including laddered tights with huge holes in each leg alongside high-top Doc Martens, a white shirt and a bright white tiara.
A multicoloured, somewhat garish Balenciaga bag and beige short skirt completed the so-called look, which was hardly complemented by a lack of makeup and generally indifferent expression as the cameras spotted her on the phone to a friend.
Damaged tights, leggings and other hosiery have been seen on the pins of many other people in the celeb world in recent months, particularly Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan.
