Stars donate socks to museum for celebrity show
A number of big-name celebrities have donated a number of items to help a Nottinghamshire museum attract people from the local area, as well as any major legwear fans.

British number one tennis star Andy Murray, last year's Formula One world champion Jenson Button and actress Maureen Lipman are some of the famous individuals names who have sent in a pair of their favourite socks to the Ruddington Framework Knitters' Museum, the Nottingham Evening Post has revealed.

The institute will be hosting its Celebrity Socks exhibition from April 2nd, which will also showcase hosiery from popular designer Paul Smith and singer Marti Pellow.

Sock fans may also come away with a prize too, as winning a pair of their choice may only cost £1, in a competition which will see people match socks up to their celebrity owners.

The Ruddington Framework Knitters' Museum recently bought a pair of stockings that used to belong to Queen Victoria, at the cost of £8,000.
