Debenhams survey 'throws up interesting questions'
One columnist is particularly unimpressed by the latest developments in the world of men's underwear as outlined by a recent piece for Debenhams, which creates more questions than answers.

The piece, which was revealed to the public earlier this week, underlined how men buy underwear for themselves for just 17 years, between the ages of 19 and 36, delegating the task before and after this time to their significant female other, whether it be their mum, wife or girlfriend.

However, Phil Daoust of the Guardian questioned a couple of situations that were not covered by the poll.

He said: "Firstly, what about men who love men? Who buys their smalls? Just as importantly, what about all the single straight blokes out there?"

Mr Daoust concluded by wondering if he is the only one who doesn't wear the same "fraying bits of cotton", patching up the holes until "Miss Right" hurries along to his aid.
