Socks and shoes halt fully-naked rollercoaster ride
Published: 10th November 2009
It's not often that a man will see a greeting card with himself on, naked, riding a rollercoaster. Luckily or unluckily for one man, that very thing happened.
Michael Deacon told the Daily Telegraph of his experience as a junior reporter for Zoo magazine, with the editors asking the young writer to take part in a record attempt of the most naked people on a rollercoaster, choosing the Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park.
He was joined by similarly naked "Zoo-friendly" female students, or as he refers to them, the "most pneumatically built" beauties the publication could find.
However, they weren't fully naked - health and safety required them to wear legwear, namely socks and shoes.
Mr Deacon continued: "If there's a vision less attractive than a pasty Scotsman naked, it's a pasty Scotsman naked except for his shoes and socks."
An investment in socks will get your face on Times Square, it was revealed earlier this month, after American Eagle announced that its flagship store in New York City would be showing the faces of all its customers on its 25-storey high billboard.
