Yet one socialite in particular - Kim Kardashian - has been seen strutting her stuff around Santa Monica, California, doing exactly that, the Daily Mail revealed.
On top of that, she's gotten quite the name for herself as a curvy woman - drawing even more attention to the issue which turns off so many commentators on the trend.
However, the celebrity girlfriend of New Orleans Saints superstar running back Reggie Bush wasn't hiding her shape and, with the confidence she was seemingly imbued with, almost managed to carry the leggings off when pairing it with a statement necklace, grey top and suit jacket.
Kim and Reggie rekindled their relationship at the end of last month after a break-up earlier this summer.
