Legwear is 'not target of cutbacks' by recessionary students

A recent street poll has discovered that despite the effects of the current economic climate on students' incomes, there really isn't an impact on their taste for fashion and, most notably, legwear.
According to the survey carried out by Adfero in Leeds city centre, it was concluded among young fashionistas between the ages of 19 and 21 that much of their spending was being dedicated to the latest trends.
Of those questioned, only 30 per cent were planning to cut back on their fashion spending, while more than half - 55 per cent - had no such plans to do the same.
The pins were the target of many investments too, with flat boots being popular among a quarter and another 25 per cent emphasised the importance of leggings, tights and the latest trend jeggings - a mixture of jeans and leggings.
It follows a Grazia article which this month highlighted just how important leggings are to women in the city of Leeds, noting that Uggs and Vivienne Westwood pirate boots are also having a war in the Yorkshire settlement.
