New tights can help you lose weight?

New tights can help you lose weight?
Women who feel too uncomfortable with their weight to wear a pair of tights or leggings may want to don a pair right now, given they could help you lose weight.

After all, the boffins at Scala have developed pairs of hosiery to cope with the issue, naming the brand Bio-Fir.

Tests showed that eight in ten women lost weight from their hips and thighs of up to an inch, following periods of six-hour application over 30 days solid.

The idea is that leggings contain crystals within the fabric which then emit infrared rays when they come into contact with the skin, which results in the rays heating up the epidermis to increase metabolism in the cells.

As a result, blood flow in the skin is increased and causes the fat layers to melt, with this liquid transported to the liver and kidneys for disposal.

Last month, self-professed larger lady Hannah Jones of the Western Mail said that leggings are a "step too far" for bigger girls, explaining: "Why on earth would I sheath up my lumps and bumps and draw attention to the fact that I'm bouncy-castle shaped, not cut from a ruler?"
