Are tan tights better than bare legs?
Published: 17th September 2010
As winter approaches, thoughts about waxing and fake tan on the legs become just a distant memory.
The colder months make wearing tights less of an option and more of a necessity as women hide away their pins for at least six months.
However, there is one summer-related question that Elle readers are being asked: Would you rather wear tights or go without?
For three-quarters (74 per cent) of women, a good wax and a dose of light fake tan is the look of choice.
The remainder say they depend on sheer tights in summer.
A survey of 1,750 women earlier this year from Charnos, when the warm months were being eagerly awaited, found the opposite, with 81 per cent saying they prefer tan tights as a way of looking bronzed.
