With a four-year-old daughter to look after, not to mention a superstar actor for a husband, Katie Holmes is probably no stranger to having to buy socks for the family.
And at a recent screening of her new film The Romantics, the actress showed she knows how make tights look good.
Holmes, who is married to Tom Cruise, looked the part on the red carpet in her thick black tights, even if her co-stars chose to go for a bare leg approach.
Rebecca Lawrence and Malin Akerman both decided rock up to the event with no stockings or hosiery and in figure-hugging shift dresses.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan has been modelling legwear for Italian fashion label Fornarina.
Taken before her stint in prison, the pictures show the 24-year-old actress in range of women's tights, including a risque pair of fishnet stockings.
