Socks and underwear expected for Christmas

Children may be expecting something good for Christmas this year and Santa is no doubt already receiving the first of many letters from hopeful youngsters.
However, adults should expect nothing more exciting than socks and underwear to appear in their Christmas stockings this year, the new president and chief executive officer of Wal-Mart has said.
Speaking at a conference, Bill Simon explained that a tough economy in the US means many will be scaling back on buying presents.
"So for all you adults, I think you should plan for socks and underwear," he said.
Mr Simon added that he expects to see a very competitive Christmas selling season.

Over the knee socks are one option that was described as helping to give shorter women the appearance of longer legs.
