Tights come out as winter is on the way

There are some very obvious signs from human behaviour that the warm glow of summer is receding and winter is beginning to take hold, according to the Guardian's Laura Barnett.
One of these is the sudden appearance of tights, she says, as women apparently ditch the bare-leg look for any kind of hosiery, from leggings to stockings.
Legs, whether tanned and bare or porcelain and spotty, start to disappear as opaque tights come out, she explains.
"But look on the bright side: tights are a godsend if, like me, you needed weeks to pluck up the courage to get your legs out in the first place," she adds.
