John Alexander Swift started his sock brand J. Alex Swift in 1895 in the village of Hathern, Leicestershire, where it still resides today, run by his 4th and 5th generation descendants. Each of these beautifully warm woollen and cotton socks has been manufactured in England using traditional methods. In men's and ladies' styles, shop our range of J. Alex Swift socks here.
Now one of the leading manufacturers of Mohair and Alpaca socks among many other products, the company is run by John’s 3rd and 4th generation descendants.
J. Alex Swift has evolved over the years to reflect the change in the sock market but, never forgetting its heritage, concentrates on the use of double cylinder equipment to produce their hosiery, as well as offering traditional hand linking.
