New socks from Sydney 'improve blood flow'
Donning leg wear in the mornings could become not only comfortable but actually good for you, with a new design from Sydney set to make it to the shops.

Equmen, a company involved in what it calls "high-performance compression undergarments", is introducing Precision Socks - the first socks that help to improve the blood flow around the legs, the firm claims.

Although they look like ordinary hosiery, Precision Socks are in fact cushioned support socks incorporating fabric that applies therapeutic pressure to improve the flow of oxygen in the legs, as well as providing extra arch support.

"In men's fashion, socks are a key accessory to any look," commented Equmen managing director Gavin Jones.

"We want to take it up a notch and make socks that are not just about looking good, but feeling good."

Celebrity legwear was recently in the news after septuagenarian Britain's Got Talent star Jimmy Ford revealed that he had made his own shamrock socks for his leprechaun costume.
