Wearing tighter clothes could help people to shift a few extra pounds, an expert has suggested.
Ursula James, author of You Can Think Yourself Thin, claimed that in the run up to your summer holidays you could try wearing tighter clothes and control underwear.
"This way you become more body aware and your appetite starts to self regulate to negate the tight feeling," she claimed.
Conversely, Ms James recommended that the quickest way to put on weight is to wear baggy clothing, as then you are less likely to notice the amount you are consuming on a day to day basis.
The author advised that other ways to shift a little excess weight include putting a picture of you looking at your best on the fridge door, to act as inspiration.
Another top tip is to try and control your stress levels, as "stress causes you to hold on to the fat you eat".
