RSC turn down David Tennant fan's sock request
The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is probably no stranger to eccentrics showing an interest in their more famous stars, especially Hollywood actors like David Tennant.

However, even the RSC was unable to indulge one Doctor Who fan, when he enquired about the availability of the Scotsman's unwashed socks.

According to the Daily Record, theatre bosses received three calls from one of David's admirer.

"He was prepared to spend £50," said RSC store assistant Lindsey Archer. "We told him no."

David Tennant's latest film, The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!, will - unfortunately - leave very few discarded costumes for fans to pillage as it is an animation.

Tennant plays Charles Darwin, who is captured by Hugh Grant as the Pirate Captain, who has his sights set on winning the Pirate of the Year award.
