A pint-sized pussycat has been given an unusual place to sleep due to her very tiny size.
Sweetie the three-week-old kitten is so small that her owners are keeping her warm inside a little sock
, the Herald Sun reports.
Michael and Gail Virgona and their two children Leo and Luca came across the cat in the garden of their home in Victoria, Australia.
Sweetie was found trapped in fruit tree netting inside their shed, with no sign of her mother of any siblings.
The family took her to the vet, who claimed she was in good health, but owing to her 200g weight would need constant care.
Ms Virgona told the newspaper: "She was just cold and, like any baby, needed to be swaddled and we found a soft sock worked the best to calm and keep her warm."
The local RSPCA have praised the Virgona family but are warning people to get their cats neutered to avoid a rise in unwanted or abandoned kittens.
