Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has spoken about his superstition during matches.
The 19-year-old, who made his first Premier League start against Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday, reveals he always has his football socks rolled down, something he has always done since he was a kid.
He claims a few referees have told him to roll them up on the pitch. But he has no intention of breaking the habit of a lifetime, citing the fact he has not had a kick on his shins to date as vindication.
Grealish spent most of last season on loan at League One outfit Notts County, before finally making his Villa debut off the bench in the penultimate game of the Premier League campaign at Manchester City.
His full debut came in the League Cup defeat by Leyton Orient last August. Having racked up 10 league appearances as a substitute, he found himself in the starting lineup in the 3-3 draw against QPR.
