UK celebrates first National Underwear Day
The UK celebrated undergarments last week, prompting the nation's men and women to re-assess their wardrobes.

On August 5th the UK staged its first ever National Underwear Day, launched by retailer Marks and Spencer.

M&S encouraged people across the UK to sift through their top drawers to consider whether their underwear really fits them and to question if it offered the right level of comfort and support.

The retailer also urged Brits to treat themselves to new lingerie and flattering underwear solutions, to help the public to be more body confident.

Women across the country took part by wearing their best underwear to work or in the house.

While this was the first time the UK has celebrated this day, annual events are already held in countries such as the US and Brazil.
