Music fans are known for their devotion to their chosen act, going to extreme lengths to express their affection.
This is true of Alanis Morissette's followers, as she admitted this week that she even found fan mail in her underwear.
Speaking to Metro, the singer said: "I'd be on tour and come back to my hotel to find fans had snuck into my room and left notes in my underwear."
She'd also find people hiding in the corridors keen to speak to her as soon as she left her room.
The Canadian alternative artist spoke of her new album Havoc and Bright Lights, which is being released next week.
Alanis told the site that fans can expect a cross section of subject matter, including "women segueing from misogyny and chauvinism into the new world," as well as a song about her son, husband and taking care of her inner self.
