Tracks author Robyn Davidson pulled on a pair of tights underneath her dress at the screening of the film adaptation of her best selling memoire at the 70th Biennial Venice International Film Festival.
The writer pulled on an embroidered black dress, a pair of black boots and some sheer black tights for the star studded event.
The film, which stars Adam Driver and Mia Wasikowska, marks Davidson's nine month trek across the Outback from Alice Springs to the west coast of Australia in the company of a dog and four camels in 1977.
En route she met photographer Rick Smolan who encourage her to allow him document her trip. Her original story was published in National Geographic Magazine, after which she decided to go ahead and write a book.
Before the John Curran directed film was made, there had been five unsuccessful attempts to capture Davidson's travels for the big screen.
