UBS dictates employee's socks
The UBS bank of Switzerland has issued an extensive 40-page dress code to its employees dictating what they will wear from head to toe.

Male employees of the bank must wear socks in mild block colours, avoiding anything too loud for ultimate professionalism.

These socks must be coupled with lace up shoes, states the guide, which is being piloted at five of its branches.

In addition, they must wear neck ties which complement their facial bone structure - a suggestion sure to baffle a few employees of the bank.

Women's underwear must match their skin tone, their hemlines must be exactly at knee level and exactly seven pieces of jewellery must be worn.

Some may think the organisation has gone too far, with men also being told to trim their fingernails to 1.5 millimetres and women asked to only put on perfume directly after showering.

This comes in an effort to improve standards after the bank received a huge monetary bailout from the government.
