Brits want socks this Christmas
Brits are filling their Christmas wish-lists with classic gifts and home comforts this year, according to a new survey from TK Maxx.

The retailer has found that 27 per cent of men want to receive socks, which could be partly to do with colder winter weather.

A further 26 per cent agreed that they were looking to receive men's underwear to help stock up on these essentials.

Women polled in the survey revealed that they too are looking for legwear, with 22 per cent asking for socks or tights.

A quarter of ladies also admitted that they were looking for kitchen items, such as pots and pans, perfect for home cooking during the winter months.

Researchers suggested that Britons are after practical gifts this Christmas in response to a turbulent financial year which may have seen many families cutting back on essential items.
