A new survey released this week has revealed the secret items kept in women's handbags.
Much like the famous bag belonging to Mary Poppins, the study by AnjliLondon.com has found that ladies are prone to carrying around some unlikely contents.
A quarter of women carry around spare underwear, while two per cent cart around leftover food. One respondent in particular even admitted to finding a rotten fish in the bottom of her bag.
This is hardly surprising as 68 per cent of British females reportedly never empty out their handbags.
Some 80 per cent of women carried around essentials such as a mobile phone, purse, makeup, keys, painkillers and an umbrella, with 27 per cent keeping hair straightners in their bag and four per cent tucking away a pair of chicken fillet bust enhancers.
A spokesperson for the fashion brand joked that there are "things that may make perfect sense to you but would complete baffle a stranger" if they were to delve into the tardis that can be a woman's bag.
