A thief from Powys has been arrested after police found him with a stash of undergarments in his home.
Farmer Geoffrey Wilde had 860 pairs of women's underwear in his home, all of which he had stolen from washing lines over the past two years.
A homeowner called police after the well-respected father of five was seen acting suspiciously, carrying a torch and three pairs of ladies knickers.
When arrested Mr Wilde was asked to change his clothes, which led to the discovery that he was in fact wearing a pair of blue ladies underwear.
Magistrates have given him a six-month night-time curfew after he told the court that he didn't know why he was stealing the clothes and admitted he needed help.
His lawyer claimed that the farmer had suffered a considerable fall from grace and was very remorseful for his actions.
