Doctor Who star Matt Smith is known for his dapper dress sense and he didn't disappoint when he appeared on the Graham Norton Show Christmas Special.
The star kept things simple in a black suit and tie with a crisp white shirt but added a splash of colour to the ensemble with some red and white patterned socks.
And it seemed Matt wanted the world to see his bold footwear as he sat with his leg crossed over his knee, ensuring he flashed some ankle.
Smith has discussed his preference for brightly-coloured socks in the past, saying his love of them was inspired by Michael Gambon. In an interview in 2010 he revealed that when doing a play with Gambon he noticed the actor's bright socks and decided to copy the look himself.
If you want to follow in Matt's sartorial footsteps, we have a wide range of brightly-coloured and patterned socks which will ensure your toes are bang on trend.
