'The Bullet' Stephen Bunting put on a right royal performance at the William Hill World Darts Championships on Monday night.
With Prince Harry among the boisterous Alexandra Palace crowd, the self-confessed Peter Griffin lookalike beat 'The Machine' James Wade 4-1.
Bunting plays up his resemblance to the character in US cartoon Family Guy by wearing novelty socks based on the hit animated show.
His double top performance impressed the crowd and he is now seen as a major contender for the title in his first year in PDC competition, after winning the BDO tournament last January and switching codes just weeks later.
Ranked number 27 in the world, 29-year-old Bunting was up against sixth-favourite Wade. Bunting took the first set when he hit the bull for a 161 finish, but The Machine levelled with the second set.
The next two sets went to The Bullet and he hit two treble 18s and a double 18 to checkout on 144. Bunting hit eight 180s while Wade could only manage two and Bunting finished off the match with a double 10. His third round opponent will be Michael Smith.
