Some rather unusual sock-based beauty advice has been issued to lovers keen to give their skin a healthy glow and impress their partners this Valentines.
Rude Health claims its Fruity Date porridge is a tasty and nutritious start to the day, which is a normal claim for a health cereal to make.
However, the company suggests that as well as eating regular bowlfuls, consumers add oats to a sock or stocking
and enjoy a 20-minute soak in the bath with it.
Rather unusually, it claims that soggy oats wrapped in a sock
can give the skin an "extra healthy glow".
"We wouldn't recommend eating them when you're done but that's your call," the manufacturer adds.
