Film and music stars sport fun socks for charity
Hollywood superstar Gerard Butler is one of a host of big names to have agreed to be snapped sporting some rather funky footwear for charity.

The Scot, who has made the headlines for his reported romance with Jennifer Aniston, as well as for his leading roles over the past few months, is donning the red and white socks in a bid to promote this year's BBC Sports Relief weekend.

Also joining the Scot in sporting the socks in the run-up to the national fundraising drive are JLS singers Marvin, Jonathan, Ortise and Aston.

The limited-edition socks have gone on public sale, with all the money raised to go towards helping people across the UK, as well as those living in some of the world's poorest countries.

As well as the socks, this year's weekend will also see tens of thousands of people raise money for the charity by taking part in the Sports Relief Mile.

This comes as paramedics working for the North West Ambulance Service have been warned against wearing fun socks for work as they are deemed by their bosses to be 'unprofessional'.
