Online campaign demands different shades of nude underwear
A psychologist from the US has started an online campaign for retailers to offer more variation on skin-coloured undergarments.

Los Angeles-based African American Tara Raines is looking for more diversity in women's underwear so that skin-coloured bras can better match the range of skin tones in the country.

Her campaign, entitled "What's Your Nude?", hit Facebook this week and urged women to contact shops to demand more products catering for darker skin tones in their new and existing underwear collections.

Earlier this month Ms Raines told WWD that she has spent years searching for nude underwear between the traditional flesh-colour and black shades.

"Women of colour have tremendous spending power in the US and it's absurd to think that in 2012 we are essentially disenfranchised when we shop for lingerie," she said, before revealing that many of her family and friends have resorted to dying store-bought bras.
