Gizzi Erskine channels 60s style

Gizzi Erskine channels 60s style

Gizzi Erskine oozed 1960s glamour at the InStyle Best of British Talent party on Tuesday.

The former punk turned celebrity chef donned an elegant black halter-neck shift dress with pearl embossed round collar detailing.

Her monochrome look was finished with an opaque pair of black tights and pointed black shoes.

She did however add a splash of colour with her red lip-shaped studded clutch bag.

Her trademark beehive up do - a la Audrey Hepburn - looked effortlessly chic as she posed for pictures.

Downton Abbey's Sophie McShera also opted for monochrome on the evening as she paired a black long-sleeved top with a white a-line skirt and black opaque tights.

The London event was in association with Lancome and Sky Living which saw a selection of famous faces from actress Anna Friel to fashion designer Henry Holland.

McShera shows up in dark tights

Sophie McShera pulled on a pair of dark tights for the InStyle Best of British Talent party at Dartmouth House in London on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old actress opted to combine the tights with a pair of black heels, a cream skirt and a long-sleeved black polo top.

McShera is best known for her role as Daisy in Downton Abbey but made her television breakthrough as Ros McCain in the school drama series Waterloo Road.

She is set to make her big screen debut this year in the independent film Highway to Dhampus, which is the story of a rich socialite attempting to fix her image by volunteering in a children's orphanage in Nepal.

McShera has also been signed up to the cast of the latest Disney adaptation of Cinderella, which is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter and Derek Jacobi.

The film is currently scheduled to be released in the US in March 2015.

Lizzie Cundy cuts an elegant figure

Lizzie Cundy cuts an elegant figure

Former WAG Lizzie Cundy took to the red carpet for the UK Premiere of The Monuments Men on Tuesday evening.

Having been an ITV Red Carpet Reporter, she's no stranger to such events and took to the occasion with ease, posing happily for paparazzi.

The brunette beauty, formally married to former Chelsea footballer Jason, wowed in an electric blue skater dress teamed with black tights and high-heeled studded shoes for added glam.

Lizzie obviously knows a few tricks of the trade as wearing black tights elongates legs, as well as giving some much-needed warmth for the Leicester Square event.

She accessorised with a black bangle and smaller silver bracelets and rings. She also donned an impressive tan for February, along with red nails and lips.

Other guests included George Clooney, Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett, who all star in the film.

Hollywood star George Clooney looked stylish as he took to the red carpet at the London premiere of The Monuments Men wearing a fashionable scarf.

The dapper actor, who stars in the film alongside John Goodman and Matt Damon, teamed the grey checked scarf with an open-necked black shirt and a slim-fitting navy coat as he posed for pictures ahead of the screening.

Hollywood's most eligibly bachelor walked the red carpet solo, before joining his co-stars for some snaps.

And he certainly wasn't the only attendee who'd made an effort with his attire. His friend and co-star Matt Damon teamed his grey suit with a slim navy shirt as he posed with his glamorous wife Luciana, who wore a floor-length lace dress.

Jean Dujardin, who also appears on the film, looked suitably slick in a well-fitting black suit, white shirt and black tie, with a black overcoat thrown over his arm.

The happy-go-lucky writer went for an understated yet glamorous look as she donned a long-sleeved blouse with an a-line skirt and black tights to keep her warm in the cold London weather.

Her geometric black and white blouse teamed with the black skirt accentuated her slim waist as she posed with one hand on her hip.

Accessorising her outfit with a simple box clutch bag, smoky eye make up and black high heels finished the ensemble off perfectly.

She seemed happy as she smiled for photos before taking to Twitter to say "At the premiere of Cuban Fury. I just ran the red carpet to get to the wine. Exciting!!!"

The red carpet was also graced by big names Olivia Colman, Nick Jones and Rashida Jones who star in the film.

Producer Tracey O'Riordan and director Clio Barnard pulled on a pair of dark tights each for the 34th Annual London Film Critics' Circle Awards on Sunday night.

Kate dedicates outfit to Bowie

Kate dedicates outfit to Bowie

Kate Moss collected David Bowie's Best British Male Solo Artist award at the Brits last night, wearing a Bowie-dedicated ensemble.

The model arrived secretly, avoiding the red carpet, to allow her outfit to do the talking when it was time for her to collect Bowie's prize.

As a nod to the 68-year-old artist - who has become the oldest star to be awarded a Brit - she wore a Bowie custom made leotard.

The vintage leotard was famously worn by Bowie at London's Rainbow Theatre in 1972 at one of the most celebrated stages of his career.

Although Bowie rocked the leotard with bare legs in the 70s, Kate went for a more demure look as she teamed it with a thick pair of black tights for a more evening look.

Bowie's award comes 18 years after his previous Brit award and 30 years after originally winning Best British Male Solo Artist.

Grimmy dons leopard print at Brits

Grimmy dons leopard print at Brits

Radio One's Nick Grimshaw provided a wealth of entertainment at the Brit Awards on Wednesday night.

The DJ arrived on the red carpet looking suave in his staple black skinny jeans with a burgundy patterned blazer and black tee, but the ensemble came into its own with a skinny leopard print scarf.

As usual, the star made sure his quiff was perfectly styled before pouting for paparazzi before the event.

Following last year's Brits, where Nick and host James Corden kissed on camera, the pair shared a smooch on stage as Nick presented an award.

After the awards ceremony ended, Grimmy was seen partying until 5am - despite his breakfast show beginning at 6:30am.

His radio show far from suffered the effects from lack of sleep or drinking though as he was on top form, filling in his listeners about all the antics that happened the previous night.

Ahead of the game Louis was seen training with his teammates, making sure he kept warm as he wore a grey beanie hat.

The 22-year-old heartthrob showed some pre-match excitement as he tweeted 'Ahhhhh today's the day!'

Despite his efforts, the game finished with a 0-0 draw but he made sure to thank his teammates, staff at Rovers and fans for their support via his Twitter feed.

Doncaster-born Louis was signed by Rovers on a non-contract basis back in the summer but had to withdraw from his scheduled debut against Scunthorpe in September due to injury.

Helen goes for understated glam

Helen goes for understated glam

Awards ceremony season is well and truly upon us after the BAFTAs took place this weekend.

Actors and actresses flew in from across the globe to attend the prestigious event in London on Sunday evening - and it wouldn't be an awards show without Dame Helen Mirren.

Films 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle and Gravity each took home two awards from this year's show.

But it was Helen Mirren who took home the biggest accolade.

She was presented with the BAFTA Fellowship award by Prince William, who nicknamed her "Granny" as a nod to her portrayal of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen.

Previous recipients of the award include Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor and Judi Dench.

The previous evening Helen attended the BAFTA Nominee's party on New Bond Street.

She went for an understated look, in an embellished mac and black tights, not to draw too much attention to herself - a far cry from her floor length gown at Sunday's BAFTA ceremony.

On Wednesday evening, musicians and celebrities alike will get dolled up once again for The Brit Awards.
